Location One’s Heather Wagner in conversation with artist Christoph Draeger. They will discuss a new performance/installation piece for the exhibition “Une Question de Génération” at the Musée d’Art Contemporain in Lyon, France. The piece is a re-enactment of rock band The Who’s legendary Monterey Pop Festival performance of “My Generation”, replete with guitar smashing and stage destruction. Other works by Draeger will be discussed.

Disaster and violence are Draeger’s subjects. In the 1990s he visited the sites of plane crashes, explosions and tornados and constructed detailed models of the scenes, which he photographed or painted.
