MEREDITH MONK
Location One inaugurated the Locution interview series with Meredith
Monk, the internationally-celebrated performer/composer/choreographer/filmmaker.
Monk has been creating multimedia and musical works for more than three
decades, among them Atlas, Quarry, Education of the
Girlchild, Dolmen Music, and Songs from the Hill.
Her music is available from ECM
records. She is also the subject of the recent book, Meredith
Monk, edited by Deborah Jowitt. Meredith Monk was recently the subject
of a major retrospective at the Lincoln Center Festival 2000.
