Open Call is a project organized by Brina Thurston, currently in residency at Location One, NYC. All submissions will be due by April 20, 2009 and will be presented and juried by a select group of artists, curators and critics in front of a live audience at Location One May 1, 2009.

Submission Guidelines:

• All mediums, video stills, performance documentation and installation shots are welcome.
• There is no limit to entries but each work or project must be submitted on separates form.
• There is a $10.00 processing fee for each submission which is payable through paypal.  *Those who qualify for financial aid may have their application fee waived.

-Image Guidelines

• Image submissions must be in JPG format, no larger than 1024 X 768, max file is 2mb.
• Images should be labeled lastname_firstintial.jpg (i.e. Smith_J.jpeg, Smith_J2.jpeg for multiple submissions)
• The image you submit will be projected at the performance and you may choose to put your name, title, year, medium, and dimensions on the image, but this is not necessary.

-Video Still Guidelines

• All video submissions are accepted in the form of video stills only, uploaded as jpgs in the same format indicated in the guidelines above.

-Performance Guidelines

• If you are a performance artist you may submit a 200 word written proposal
• All performances will be simultaneously performed with other performers in a five minute performance session.
