Primarily a video artist, Trine’s works portrays people who are unknown but extraordinary and ambitious individuals. She focuses on their talent, aspirations and on their often unachieved desires and distant life goals. Recent videos feature individuals performing their speciality in a very particular way and setting. The use of humor to strengthen a sense of unease and lack of fulfillment is characteristic of Trine’s approach. In the artist’s words, “I make films about wanting to be wanted”.

Born in Bergen, Norway, Trine lives and works in London. Her work has been shown in numerous film and video festivals and she has received numerous project grants from the Norwegian Ministry of Culture. In July 2005, she received an award from “FAIR PLAY 2005 Video Art Festival”, Berlin (organized by Play-gallery for still and motion pictures, Berlin). Other exhibitions include: Rogaland Kunst Museum, Stavanger (2004) and Tromsoe Kunstforening, Tromsoe (2002).
